We are different primarily because we design our courses with you (the diver) and the environment in mind, not our bottom line, half of which we give back to the ocean.

SDI Scuba Discovery
Your first breath beneath the surface.
You think diving could be something cool to do but you're not really sure it's for you? Experience the thrill of scuba in a relaxed, 1-on-1 intro session. Learn more about it on our Scuba Discovery page.
SDI Open Water Scuba Diver
Start smart with all your foundations covered.
Learn the basics of diving - buoyancy, propulsion and trim from the beginning, in full compliance with the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver standards. Upon successful certificaiton you'll be able to dive to a maximum of 18 meters with a buddy of similar or higher certificaiton.

SDI Advanced Adventure Diver
Push your limits safely and skillfully.
The SDI Advanced Adventure Diver course builds on your existing skills to make you a more confident diver, while also exposing you to new gear, techniques and procedures. Scuba Diving Specialities
Sidemount, anyone?
Scuba specialities are courses that go deeper into certain aspects of diving. Whether you'd like to learn how to dive sidemount, explore wrecks safely or be toasty warm even in frigid waters (drysuits, of course), we got you covered. Check out our favorite specialities to teach. Uhm... no need for suspense, it's sidemount, doh!
Rescue Diver
Learn to lead — even when it matters most.
Develop composure and competence in emergency scenarios. Train to respond intuitively, protect others, and lead underwater with clarity. We believe our sport would be so much safer if all divers would strive for the Rescue Diver certification. You'll find more information in our rescue diver course page.
Divemaster and beyond
Professional level certifications and technical diving.

Hello there! I’m Dan, an SDI-certified dive instructor with a twist.

I started Blue Pulse because people deserve quality scuba diving training that truly helps them become confident and safe divers. That’s what I would’ve liked to have when I was first starting out. I’m also a firm believer that science, education, and ultimately the actions we take — armed with that knowledge — are what can help humanity thrive on this planet for generations to come.

Knowing that might sound a little woo-woo, here are some facts about me:

Over 10 years of diving experience in challenging and varied conditions
Technical trimix diver who actively works to improve — I take multiple courses and certifications every year
Certified as an instructor through a rigorous, weeks-long process with one of the most thorough, innovative agencies: SDI/TDI
I do what I do out of passion for diving and the environment

At Blue Pulse, I teach with a technical mindset from day one — but without the ego. Whether you’re new to the water or aiming to refine your skills, my goal is to build safe, curious, and confident divers. No group classes, no shortcuts — just tailored, one-on-one training that respects your pace, your goals, as well as the environment.
