Our primary training locations

As an independent SDI facility, we believe in the flexibility offered by not being tied down to a specific training location or dive center. As a result, we collaborate with multiple facilities and dive centers, both in Romania and internationally, in order to provide our customers with the best experiences possible.

Noting that this is not an exhaustive list, here are our usual go-to locations for training.

In Romania

Otopeni water sports complex
#

Much of our training begins in the pool. This is because we want a nice controlled environment, with crystal clear water, so that we can concentrate on specific skills first. Most of our pool diving happens at the Otopeni Olympic water sports center, about 45 mins from downtown Bucharest. The diving pool there gives us a bit of depth (maximum of 5 meters) to also get a more realistic feel when necessary.

Constanta Casino reef (Black Sea)
#

This is as close as we have to a house reef. With logistic support from our friends and partners at Scuba One, we have everything we need for this to be our base of operations in Constanta.

With a nice shallow entry, this dive site has everything we need for entry level and even more advanced training. We love it because we also get to experience a lot of marine life (best place for sea horses!) and even history, being the site of ancient Tomis - a Roman city whose ruins are still visible both on the surface and underwater.

Constanta Black Sea wrecks
#

The Romanian territorial waters of the Black Sea boast an impressive array of shipwrecks, from ancient ones, to the 2nd World War and into contemporary merchant vessels. Some of them still remain undiscovered to this day.

You can find more information on the Romanian Black Sea wrecks here. Together with our partners (and weather allowing), we can visit most of them, assuming you have the required level of certification and experience.

Abroad
#

This is a selection of places that we have come to know well and where we have trustworthy partners and collaborators. We regularly visit most of them, follow us on social media to find out about our upcoming plans.

Cyprus
#

Cyprus offers a mix of warm Mediterranean waters, rich underwater history, and ideal diving conditions for all levels. One of the main attractions is the Zenobia wreck, a world-renowned dive site lying just off the coast of Larnaca. This massive ferry, resting on its port side, offers divers an unforgettable wreck penetration experience alongside an abundance of marine life.

With excellent visibility and mild currents, Cyprus is perfect for beginner courses like Open Water Diver, while more advanced divers can take advantage of deep dives, wreck specialty training, and technical diving opportunities. The underwater topography includes sea caves, tunnels, and even ancient amphorae sites, making every dive both adventurous and educational.

Greece
#

Greece combines stunning seascapes with ancient underwater history. The country’s many islands and long coastline create a variety of dive environments, from shallow reef systems to dramatic drop-offs. Our favorite locations are around the Sporades and Ionian islands.

Egypt
#

Egypt’s Red Sea coast is legendary in the diving world, offering pristine coral reefs, dramatic walls, and some of the most vibrant marine life on the planet. We regularly partner with reputable liveaboard operators and organize dive training on the actual boat that is our home and dive center for a week.

Our usual routes include BDE (Brothers, Dedalus and Elphinstone), Deep South and the Northen wrecks.

Dutch Antilles (Aruba, Bonaire Curacao)
#

The Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao are famous for their warm waters, excellent visibility, and thriving coral reefs. Bonaire, in particular, is revered for its easy shore diving and protected marine parks—making it a top pick for new divers and those seeking relaxed, high-quality training.

Whether you’re learning the basics in Aruba’s calm bays or practicing advanced navigation along Curaçao’s vibrant walls, the Dutch Antilles deliver world-class diving with minimal current and a laid-back island vibe. It’s an ideal region to learn at your own pace, surrounded by tropical beauty and professional dive facilities.

Seychelles
#

The Seychelles offer an exotic, Indian Ocean escape with granite reef structures, coral gardens, and an abundance of pelagic life. Dive sites around Mahé, Praslin, and La Digue are rich in turtles, rays, reef sharks, and tropical fish, all in warm, clear waters that are ideal for scuba instruction and exploration.

Whether you’re starting with an Open Water course or advancing your skills with specialties like Deep or Night Diver, Seychelles combines luxury travel with unforgettable underwater experiences. The islands’ natural beauty above and below water makes every dive course feel like part of a tropical adventure.

Malta
#

Malta is a diver’s paradise, known for its outstanding visibility, rugged underwater landscapes, and historic wrecks. The islands of Malta, Gozo, and Comino offer everything from sheltered beginner-friendly sites to challenging technical dives. Highlights include the Blue Hole in Gozo, numerous WWII wrecks, and dramatic underwater arches.

This Mediterranean gem is an ideal place to organize virtually any scuba course. The infrastructure is excellent, with easy shore entries, great dive centers, and a community that supports all experience levels. Malta’s underwater world is as rich in stories as it is in marine beauty.

Bulgaria
#

Though not often considered a traditional diving destination, Bulgaria’s Black Sea coast offers a unique environment for scuba training. As visibility in the Black Sea tends to become better the further South you go (due to a mix of distance from the Danube and change in substrate), places like Tyulenovo and Sozopol offer very interesting diving destinations not far from Romania.
