Conservation Starts With Competence
#

The underwater world gives us access to something extraordinary — but with that access comes responsibility. At the core of our training philosophy is a simple idea: the better a diver you are, the more you can do to protect the ocean.

That’s why every course, every dive, and every decision we make is grounded in care for the environment we depend on.

Divers as Ocean Ambassadors
#

When you’re well-trained, your awareness expands. You start noticing more. You learn to move with precision, without disturbing delicate marine ecosystems. You understand the impact of your choices — gear, buoyancy, even where you kick.

Competent divers:

  • Avoid damaging fragile coral and seafloor habitats
  • Spot early signs of marine distress or pollution
  • Know how to choose dive operators that don’t hurt the environment
  • Lead by example in their local dive communities
  • Share their knowledge with others — respectfully and accurately

These are the habits of a true ocean ambassador. They aren’t optional; they’re part of being a good diver.

50% for the Ocean
#

We don’t just talk about conservation — we build it into our business model.

Fifty percent of our profits go directly toward ocean conservation efforts. These funds support:

  • Marine ecosystem restoration projects
  • Underwater cleanups
  • Ghost gear removal projects
  • Environmental education for local communities

We’re careful about who we partner with and transparent about where funds go. Every dive you do with us helps fund real action.

Making an impact daily
#

Conservation is something we build into our daily practice, not just at the end of our balance sheet. Here is what we do for the environment:

  • Include an eco-diver workshop in all of our core courses - here you learn about the environment, how to protect it while diving, but also how to minimize your negative impact when you travel
  • Work constantly to minimize (and ideally remove entirely) the amount of single-use plastic we’re responsible for.
  • Organize regular underwater clean-up projects ourselves - you’re welcome to join!

The Connection Is Clear
#

Good divers care more — because they see more. They know how fragile underwater ecosystems are, and they learn to dive in a way that protects rather than harms. This connection is what drives everything we do.

Our job isn’t just to certify divers. It’s to create stewards of the sea.
